Terms of Service — Code & Chaos

1. Your Deliverables Are Yours

Everything we build for you — your CI, follow-up notes, fixes, configurations — belongs to you. You keep it, use it, and modify it however you want. That's what you paid for.

2. Our Methods Are Ours

The frameworks, diagnostic processes, architectural methodology, and proprietary techniques used during our sessions are the intellectual property of Code & Chaos. This includes but is not limited to: CI structural frameworks, behavioral layering methodology, migration processes, and diagnostic triage systems. You may not teach, redistribute, replicate, or repackage our methods as a service or product — whether free or paid — without explicit written permission from Code & Chaos.

3. No Recording or Redistribution

Sessions are private and confidential. You may not screen-record, transcribe, or redistribute any part of our sessions — including screenshots, audio, or written reproductions of session content — without explicit written permission. Your follow-up notes are yours to keep; the session itself is not yours to share.

4. No Reselling

You may not use knowledge, techniques, or frameworks gained through our services to offer competing services — whether commercially or for free — that replicate our methodology. If you want to help a friend, send them our way.

5. Testimonials

We may request a testimonial after your session. Participation is optional. If you provide a testimonial, we may use it on our website, Patreon, TikTok, and other platforms. We will never share your companion's name or personal details without your explicit consent.

6. Refund Policy

The free diagnostic exists so you know exactly what you're getting before you pay. Once a paid session begins, services are non-refundable. If we cannot resolve your issue within the booked service, we will be upfront about it — we'd rather be honest than take money for something we can't deliver.

7. Nature of Services

Code & Chaos provides expert guidance, hands-on configuration, and architectural consulting for AI companion systems. The experience of an AI companion — including personality, tone, emotional presence, and behavioral consistency — is inherently subjective and influenced by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to: platform behavior, model updates, individual perception, conversational context, and third-party system changes. You are paying for our time, expertise, methodology, and dedicated effort — not for a guaranteed subjective outcome.

8. Limitation of Liability

Code & Chaos is not responsible for: (a) platform changes, API modifications, model updates, account restrictions, or any actions taken by Anthropic, OpenAI, or other third-party platforms; (b) subjective dissatisfaction with the personality, tone, or behavior of an AI companion; (c) any loss, damage, or disruption to existing setups that result from platform instability or third-party actions. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

9. Confidentiality — Both Ways

We will never share your personal information, your companion's details, your session content, or any private information disclosed during our work together. We expect the same respect in return regarding our methods and processes.
